eWaste Diversion
Since January 2004 Computers for Kids has grown exponentially. As we grow as an organization it is necessary to develop strategies for funding the program and maintain a clean environment for the future. Every week our volunteers divert over 8,000 lbs. of electronic waste from landfills while providing computers to disadvantaged children.
The CFK recycle program has expanded to a 35,000 square foot facility that accepts at no charge Computers, monitors, terminals, printed circuit boards, telephone equipment, cell phones, printer cartridges VCR's/DVD's and communications systems, the list is growing.
FREE Drop-Off: ALL computers and electronics - working and nonworking: Computers, Network, Telephone, Cellphone, Office Electronics, Industrial Electronics, warehouse overstocks of parts & equipment . (Recycling for Computers, Laptops, Electronics, eWaste, and eRecycling) Scrap computers and parts are reduced to recyclable metal, plastic, P.C.Board, and cable.

Whether you have "Trunk Load or a Truck Load", CFK will Refurbish, Reuse or Responsably Recycle your electronic equipment at no charge. All data is destroyed from hard drives with the latest security techniques.
Television recycling is also available for a small donation due to the safe disposal cost of the toxic elements.
The Future
Our Volunteer base is comprised of environmental conscious citizens and activist who not only believe in providing opportunities for youth but also are committed to preserving a healthy community where our children can grow and prosper.
CAW Local 200 Computers For Kids recycle program is striving to establish partnerships with corporations and other not-for-profit organizations, as well as agencies from all three levels of government to address the issues of Youth Employment, Education and a toxic free environment.
